Raea is a student at New York University (NYU) studying Social Work and Journalism. She hopes to one day become a lawyer with particular interest in international and constitutional law, hoping to merge the skills and values of her social work education with the legal profession. She also hopes to incorporate photojournalism and multimedia into her future endeavors. Raea was awarded the NYU Gallatin Global Fellowship in Human Rights through which she worked to support LGBTQ+ migrants and asylum seekers in Barcelona, Spain. On campus, Raea is a student leader who has worked on innovative, cross-university initiatives.
